Ledbury firefighters have tackled a hedge fire near Much Marcle - taking the number of calls attended by the station this year almost to 200.
The Ledbury crew joined firefighters from Fownhope Fire Station at the fire in Rushall at 10.55pm yesterday (Thursday, August 12).
“One stubble field and hedge row now extinguished at Rushall near Much Marcle,” a spokesperson for the station said.
“Thermal image camera used to find hot spots. Two hotspots found and cooled to prevent further spread.
“Ledbury Fire Station have attended nearly 200 calls in total so far this year since January and it seems to only be getting busier due to the weather conditions.

“Please don't have any sort of fires and think very carefully about what could happen if precautions aren't taken. Thank you to those who are being extra vigilant and staying safe.”
