A new pedestrian pathway linking The Arches to the town centre is set to be developed.

The pathway, which is part of Bloor Homes' planning agreement with Ledbury Town Council, aims to promote sustainable living and persuade people to leave their cars at home.

Steve Garton, sales director for the company's Western region, said: "The new public pathway is part of the planning agreement with Ledbury Town Council as a sustainability measure which will encourage people to walk into town or to the local schools."

Mr Garton added: "Running from the railway viaduct at The Arches, the path not only enables new residents to walk into town for work, leisure, and the school run, but also opens a lovely walk for people living within Ledbury."

The development includes a range of houses, all furnished with both PV solar panels and Electric Vehicle (EV) charging points.

This combines energy-efficiency with a carbon-reducing strategy, emblematic of modern housing design.

Sally Holt, senior sales manager at The Arches at Ledbury, said: "There are some locations that are really special, and this is definitely one of them.

"Travel experts at The Telegraph recently named Ledbury one of the prettiest towns in England, so it’s no surprise that it is well-known as a sought-after location.

"As well as all the benefits of buying a new home can bring, and being able to walk into town, let's not forget that we are surrounded by stunning English countryside here too."

Ms Holt added: "We’re really excited to be bringing brand new family homes to such a renowned and historical location, not least because this is also our first development in Herefordshire to include PV solar panels and Electric Vehicle (EV) charging points in all the new homes, future-proofing them for years to come."

Residents can now purchase three and four-bedroom homes from the first phase of The Arches, priced from £440,000 for a three-bedroom, three-bathroom house and £495,000 for a four-bedroom home.
