LEDBURY’S young talents are set to shine as Ledbury Youth Theatre takes the stage at The Market Theatre for their highly anticipated production of The Wizard of Oz.
In this enchanting musical adaptation of L. Frank Baum’s classic tale, audiences will follow Dorothy as she is swept away to the magical land of Oz. Accompanied by her newfound friends—the Scarecrow, Tin Man and Cowardly Lion—Dorothy embarks on a journey to seek the help of the mysterious Wizard and find her way back home to Kansas. Along the way, they encounter the Wicked Witch of the West, Munchkins and flying monkeys in a delightful adventure that captures the imagination of audiences of all ages.
Not only does The Wizard of Oz promise an evening of entertainment, but it also serves as a fantastic platform to develop valuable skills among the cast, ranging from ages 4 to 18. Through their involvement in this production, young actors learn teamwork, confidence, and creative expression, all the while bringing this beloved story to life on stage.
