LEDBURY Town Reserves booked a place in their second quarter-final of the season.

They won 7-1 at Kingstone Harriers in the Herefordshire FA Burghill Cup second round.

Phil Preedy and Roly Welch’s team were largely dominant, only allowing a consolation strike on 15 minutes.

Captain Jamie Welch bagged a hat-trick and fellow forward Jamie Gladwin also netted.

Pat Locke headed in a corner from Gavin Hodgkins after two minutes but Kingstone levelled.

However, Ledbury restored their lead two minutes later with a header from Gladwin.

Welch added a third goal and Martin Loveridge pounced before Ledbury scored three more in the second period.

Hodgkins fired home and Welch produced a screamer out of nowhere on 54 minutes.

He completed his hat-trick after beating a defender in the box and finishing well.
