MALVERN beat Barkers Butts 30-25 in an entertaining Midlands Two West (South) mid-table rugby union clash.
The Spring Lane hosts took a 12-0 lead with tries from Richard Fleming and Liam Roleston added to a conversion from Will Gough.
Fleming scored a second try but the Coventry visitors hit back with a converted effort on half-time.
Two second-half scores brought Barkers Butts back within four points and, despite Gough’s penalty, a converted try levelled matters at 20-20.
Malvern’s Ieuan Mustow put in a clever chip to score with Gough converting only for their opponents to hit back with a try.
But Gough kicked a penalty to cement the win for sixth-placed Malvern.
