WORCESTER'S Old Vigornians remained fourth in Worcestershire Cricket League Division Three after beating Barnards Green thirds by 103 runs.

In a game reduced to 35 overs-a-side after heavy rain, OVs were put into bat and reached 196 before being dismissed off the penultimate ball of the innings.

The top order got them off to a good start through Osman Fiaz (37), Chris Drew (23), George Painter (20) and Ahsan Fiaz (47) before wickets tumbled towards the end of the innings.

Green, who only had nine men, never really threatened after opening bowler Charlie Lamb picked up 3-13 from his six overs.

Although Dan Metcalfe (23) and Lewis Hooper (26) offered resistance, the Malvern side were dismissed for 93 after 24 overs.

Jabba Riaz took 2-3 to wrap things up.

Elsewhere in the division, Harborne toppled leaders Bartestree and Lugwardine.

Bartestree's match at Ross-on-Wye was abandoned halfway through the first innings and Harborne’s match at home to Cleobury was conceded to them.

Netherton went third after beating Himbleton and Kempsey moved up to fifth following their win over second-from-bottom Malvern.

Kempsey's Sam O'Neill hit 87, Tristan Robinson scored 65 and Zak O'Neill took 5-20.

Rushwick beat Avoncroft to ease their relegation worries as Phil Hamilton scored 59 and Joe Davies 47, while Clive Jones took 5-11 from three overs.
