WINGER Tristan Plummer and centre-half Chris Parry are expected to feature in Hereford’s two Southern League Division One South and West fixtures over the weekend.

The table-topping Bulls make the trip to Devon to face newly-promoted Barnstaple Town tomorrow (3pm) and then host struggling Bishop’s Cleeve at Edgar Street on Monday (3pm).

Plummer missed Bulls’ 4-2 FA Cup preliminary round win against Alvechurch with a tight hamstring, while Parry is now poised to make his debut after being granted international clearance.

Parry was playing for Gwent side Undy Athletic in Welsh football last term.

But Hereford club captain Joel Edwards has been struggling with a back injury and is unlikely to be rushed into making a return by boss Pete Beadle.

“Plummer’s hamstring stiffened up after our match last week,” explained Beadle.

“He came off because we wanted to be careful with him while he’s gaining his fitness but he had a reaction and we didn’t want to risk him against Alvechurch.

“But hopefully he will be training this week and fit this weekend.”

Hereford have won their opening four league matches but Beadle is expecting a hard weekend for his charges with two competitive matches.

“We know Barnstaple have been on a good run and won promotion last season. They will be confident and at home,” said Beadle.

“We have to go there on a bank holiday weekend in the summer holidays, so we have to make sure we prepare the best we can and go there with the right attitude.

“We then have a long drive back and a day’s recovery before we have to start again on Monday against Bishop’s Cleeve.

“We have to make sure we apply ourselves in both games and if we can do that, then we will be competitive.”
